Support
Short answers first. If they do not help, email the lab with the links below.
These links open your own email app with a prepared message. Messages go to the lab director's university inbox (bampel@gsu.edu). Nothing is sent from this page, and the lab keeps no form data. If you are a participant, do not write your password or access code in the message. Your study ID is enough.
Participants
I cannot sign in to my study.
Use the link you were given for the study. Sign in with the email address the study allows, usually your university address, or with the access code the research team gave you. If it says your email cannot be used, check the ending of the address. If it still fails, email the lab with the name of the study.
My sign-in expired or I closed the page.
Sign in again with the same email address or code. Your answers are saved as you go, and you return to where you stopped. Use the same email each time, because it links your sessions.
Can I do the next session now?
Some studies have a minimum wait between sessions, which the page tells you. If the wait seems wrong, email the lab.
Who sees my answers?
The research team sees your answers under a study ID. Your email address is kept apart from the answers, only so the team can give credit or payment, and does not appear in the data files. The consent form for your study has the exact terms.
I want to withdraw or have my data deleted.
Email the lab with the name of the study and your study ID (it is in the message the "Contact the lab" link on the study page prepares). The team can delete your data as your consent form describes.
I am in a game and nobody else is here.
Live games wait for other participants and offer a choice after a while. Keep the page open and visible. Closing it counts as not responding.
Who runs this?
The lab belongs to the Center for CyberAI Research at Georgia State University and is directed by Dr. Benjamin M. Ampel.
Researchers
How do I get an account?
Request researcher access. The lab owner sends an invitation link if approved. Read the researcher guide first.
My invitation link does not work.
An invitation works once and lasts 7 days. Email the lab for a new one.
I forgot my password.
Email the lab. The owner sends a reset link that lasts 24 hours and works once.
I lost my authenticator.
Use a recovery code in the code box at sign-in. If you have none, email the lab and the owner can remove the authenticator.
My account says it is locked.
Ten wrong attempts in 15 minutes lock that email address for 15 minutes. Wait and try again.
I cannot open a study.
Your role is set per study. The My studies page lists the studies you can open. If one is missing, email the lab and name the study.
